The prestigious synchronized swimming campus organized by the Olympic medalist already has two coordinators.
On the one hand, Laura Maldonado will be the coordinator of the Summer Camp, held at the SEK CATALONYA facilities from July 21st to 27th. Maldonado has a degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and has a lot of experience in the world of synchronised swimming. As for her experience in this sport, we can highlight that she has participated in 6 world championships and 12 international championships representing Spain. She has won medals in Europeans or Worlds and she has trained 2 years with the team of Ana Tarrès along with Ona Carbonell.
On the other hand, Laia Filella will be the coordinator of the Elite Camp, organized in the facilities of the CN Sabadell, from July 28th to August 1st. Laia is a veteran in the world of synchronized swimming with a great experience. Currently, she is a trainer of Synchronized Swimming by the RFEN and she has been an elite athlete of the CN Kallipolis, forming part of the Spanish Artistic Swimming team until 2003. As for her achievements, we can highlight that she has been a medalist in World and European Championships, as well as Spanish champion.
Both coordinators have worked previously on the campus, so they know perfectly how it works and their experience will be key to guide the new technical team. Maldonado and Filella will be in charge of directing the members of the Technical Staff of the Summer Camp and the Elite Camp who will also work side by side with Ona Carbonell so that all the participants have fun learning synchronized swimming.
